Reid Holmes has built a retail automotive sales training programs that is a game changer. Rather than taking the traditional sales approach that presumes we are in a struggle for control with our customer Reid has built a system that acknowledges that customers are in the driver’s seat when they arrive at the store. Reid’s approach is based on trust, collaboration, role playing, and secret shop assignments so that trainees can see for themselves how dysfunctional traditional dealership sales processes really are. 3pi (People, Purpose, Prosperity – Imagination, Innovation, Information) is founded on sound principles of social psychology and neuroscience. The result is a process that builds customer confidence and comfort not fear, fight or flight.

In the fall of 2018, I was employed by Leif Johnson Ford as a new car sales associate. In addition to learning about the Ford line of products, all individuals in sales were required to go through their sales training program conducted by Reid Holmes. Reid was an exceptional facilitator, and our training consisted of a program that he developed specifically for the automotive industry.
The program deviated from the traditional sales approach and focused on our becoming conversation experts with potential customers. The foundation for Reid’s approach was based on customer experience research that acknowledged the fact that most customers looking to purchase new vehicles had an inherent distrust in the automotive sales people and the buying process. To counter that perception, the training emphasis concentrated on building layers of trust between the customer, the dealership, and the salesperson. Essentially, the goal was to give customers an encounter that they would remember and would thus create repeat customers who valued the service experience they received.
The training program was very insightful and immediately applicable to a variety of given sales situations. A major focus of the program was learning and practicing body language, the use of open ended and closed questioning, and active listening to the needs and desires presented by potential customers. Additionally, we learned the value of connections and networking professionally through social media, and how to market ourselves to others.
Reid is a master of understanding the human psyche, communication, and in facilitating training. His program was immediately useful and laid the foundation for a very successful sales career. I would highly recommend any of his programs to others who have a desire to build connections and increase their business success.

My name is Wade Pistole and I am outside sales person for an oil service company. I was recently fortunate enough to partake in an outside sales training course taught by Reid Holmes. Though I have been in sales for a few years, this course completely changed the game for me and got me to think outside the box in ways I never knew existed. Reid teaches in a way that is extremely relatable and can benefit any personnel in the sales industry. Would highly recommend this course whether you’re a veteran sales person or new to the game.

In all my years of sales management, I’ve seen good years and not so good years. I believe this is due to a lack of consistent training in the companies I have previously been employed with.
Fast forward a little and I meet Reid Holmes, through his training course at Leif Johnson Ford. After that week of captivating caviar like knowledge, my salary has never been the same. Through Reid’s process, I have found a way to make consistent income in all sort of ways and make incredible relationships through tribal marketing. If it wasn’t for my choice to take that first step, I would have never been where I am today. I’m proud of what my new self-propelled motivation has become in such a small timeframe.
Priceless experience. Endless success.
Thank you, Reid.

I met Reid Holmes almost 2 years ago when I was hired by Leif Johnson Ford. He was the sales trainer for the dealership. I was very impressed with Reid and his ability to bring out the best in my sales skills.
I have been in sales for over 22 years and this was the first experience that I had, where a trainer took my strengths and improved upon them without trying to change the way that I sell. I believe his experience and knowledge of sales techniques can help anyone improve upon their communication, customer service and ability to get the customer to see the need for the product being sold.
Reid has a passion for helping you reach your full potential and truly cares about your success in sales. When I transitioned to another dealership, the skills that I learned from Reid’s training course, helped to elevate me to a position as a high sale’s gross leader. With these new skills that I have learned, I have also been able execute these in areas of my personal life. I have better communication with family and friends.
I highly recommend his course if you are looking to take your sales team to the next level!

In December of 2018 I had the pleasure of undergoing the sales training of Leif Johnson Ford conducted by Reid Holmes. Reid was incredibly genuine, enlightening, and willing to help with any questions I had about utilizing what it is that I learned.
What stood out to me most about his training was that, as opposed to previous sales training programs I went through, the program Reid conducted took a different approach to engaging customers in the sales process and how I as a salesperson can help a customer meet their needs.
The information is proving to be invaluable to myself as a salesman because it has changed the way I approach my interactions with customers. In addition, it has changed the way I approach my interactions with people in general.
As a 23-year-old former UT student, I found that it aligned very well with the way my generation wants to be engaged, and never once did I feel my time was being wasted on information I did not need.

I meet Reid Holmes while working at Leif Johnson Ford approximately 6 years ago. He started out in sales then moved to the technology department. He designed and implemented the new department which became the top in the city. Other dealerships would send customers to the dealership when they could not solve situation with customer.
Reid was then asked to setup a new training program for the dealership. He went in to this with his natural zeal and produced a great training product. I remember he would run various aspects of the program by me and being very impressed with what he was producing. I looked over the finished training manual and found it to be progressive and informative to even a 16-year salesman.
I heard from personnel that went through the program that it was the best they had been through. This was said not only by new sales personal, but veteran sales professionals, managers, even sales managers.
Reid has a way of communicating with people regardless of their background. This regardless of whether they may be millennial or seasoned professional there is always a commonality.

I would highly recommend Reid Holmes after having taken his sales training class at the Leif Johnson Ford dealership. He teaches the art of selling at a much more in-depth level than I have ever seen. He developed a comprehensive training course that shows a car salesperson how to be more effective and successful starting with the “meet and greet” process which is critical to making a positive first-impression with the customer and establishing trust.
He also teaches how read a person’s body language, how to properly utilize voice inflection and how to ask the right questions to determine how to persuade a customer and handle any objections. Reid is also a sincere, intelligent and honest person that is personable and engaging.
